Great website for house-hunters who want to know about schools

For those with children, the conundrum is always getting the right house next to the right schools. I found Locrating.com a seemingly little known, but yet hugely useful website for pinpointing which properties were worth pursuing and which to immediately discount on the basis of nearby schools.

The site lets you sort schools and property by all the obvious criteria e.g. show only houses with 4 bedrooms within 2 miles of an Ofsted outstanding rated school. You can also add in commuting time criteria e.g. 3 bedroom houses within 1 mile of a school that's in the top 20% nationally, and which is within 1hr of Birmingham New Street.

This is just a time-saving tip as it bypasses the need to search out Ofsted results, catchment areas, etc.. for all schools around each property that you like the look of. Go and see for yourself...
