Young children's emergency toilet!

I always carry Potette Plus liner bags with me in case my 6 year-old is caught short!

We had the Potette Plus trainer travel potty for the children when they were being potty trained, but even now, there are occasions when we're out and about and one of them is desperate for a pee and there's just nowhere to go (or nowhere clean!). In situations like this, I'm always thankful that I have one of the old Potette Plus liner bags with me. I carry them everywhere as they take up no room. Essentially, I just hold the bag open and allow me son to wee directly into it (not from a distance though!!). You can then just tie the 'pee bag' and keep it in a plastic carrier bag until you find a bin to dispose of it properly. We've used these so many times, including when we've been at a standstill in a motorway traffic jam, on the Eurotunnel (where the toilets are so small and grim I refuse to let them go there!), on the walk home from school, etc.. etc.. It's so easy!

From a practical point of view, this is clearly more suited to boys, however we have had a couple of occasions when I have also had to use it for my daughter, and that, with some careful placement, has also been successful.

Boots, Amazon and Mothercare amongst other places, sell them with the standard price being around 35p each, although offers are often available.
